How it is calculated

  • Base pay = paid miles × rate per mile, or revenue × percentage, or loads × flat pay per load.
  • Total earnings = base pay + bonuses + reimbursements.
  • Total deductions = fuel advances + insurance + escrow + other deductions.
  • Net settlement = total earnings − total deductions, before taxes and withholding.

Common questions

About the truck driver settlement calculator

What is a driver settlement?

A settlement is the statement of what a driver is owed for a pay period: earnings for the loads or miles driven, plus bonuses and reimbursements, minus deductions such as fuel advances and insurance.

What pay methods does the calculator support?

Per mile, a percentage of load revenue, or a flat amount per load.

Does it calculate taxes?

No. Results are before taxes and withholding. Tax treatment and wage rules depend on the driver being an employee or an independent contractor and on your state, so check with your accountant.

Is my data saved?

No. The calculator runs in your browser and nothing you enter is stored or sent.
